What is NOT included in your packages?

A

Our Package does not include your bar package, photographer, florist, or Clergy. However, The Gatehouse will provide you with an outstanding preferred vendor list.

Do I have to use your preferred vendor list for my photographer,florist etc.?

A

No. You are welcome to bring in vendors of your choosing. However, if you need a recommendation, our list includes vendors that have provided excellent service to our past clients. Don’t take our word for it. Interview all of your vendors to ensure an appropriate fit.

How many weddings do you do at the same time?

A

We only book one wedding at a time, but often conduct more than one wedding per day. If we have multiple weddings booked on the same day we schedule ample time between each wedding so there is no overlap.

Can you host a ceremony only event?

A

Unfortunately not. It must be in combination with a reception.

What if we only want a reception?

A

We will be happy to host your "reception only" event. You will receive a full 3 hours to enjoy your party!

Do you allow outside caterers?

A

The Gatehouse is the sole food and beverage provider with few exceptions. Wedding cakes may be brought in from an outside vendor.

Is there a room rental fee?

A

Not usually. Our packages are all inclusive.

Q

How far in advance can I book my event?

A

We book events up to 18 months in advance but can also hold events with only a few days notice.

Q

What are the guest minimums?

A

50 Guests Friday and Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday evenings there is also a minimum of $3500 pre tax and service charge.
You may have fewer guests in attendance for your event than the minimum requirement, but the per person pricing will still apply.

Who should I include in my count?

A

Everyone 7 and older. Do NOT include your minister, photographer or the bride and groom.

I see that you charge per guest… but I am not sure how many people will show up.

A

We need a final headcount 14 days prior to your wedding to make sure we have our facility and staff properly prepared for your wedding. We highly recommend respond cards be sent out and returned 3 weeks prior to your wedding. This allows you to make the necessary increases in your headcount.

If I think 100 guests are coming, but only 80 attend, can I get a refund?

A

Sorry, but we cannot provide a refund for no-shows. This is why we recommend booking comfortable in your numbers and then increasing your guest count as needed.

I am confused about the Bar Pricing: What is my best option?

A

That depends. Conservatively, you can assume your guests will consume an average of 3 drinks during your event. If you are considering a consumption bar, multiply the per drink price x 3 to get an idea of what the bar will be costing you if you host it. If you want to host your guests throughout your event and you feel that 3 drinks is considered too low an average for your party, then selecting one of our hosted bar packages is by far the best value.

Is there a cake cutting fee?

A

No. Cake Cutting is included. The cake is also included!

Does The Gatehouse have provisions in case it rains on the day of my wedding?

A

The Gatehouse is able to accommodate your ceremony come rain or shine under our glass covered courtyard. No need for a back up plan here.

Q

What special arrangements are made during winter and summer months on the courtyard?

A

In the winter,we have radiant heaters and clear curtains that are installed to retain heat on the courtyard.
In the summer, we have master cool systems on the courtyard and cool mist fans on the patio to keep it as comfortable as possible.

Do I need an appointment to view The Gatehouse?

A

Due to our event schedule, appointments are always recommended.

Do you offer a military discount?

A

In appreciation of our active duty military, we offer $100 off any package we have.
